The Autódromo Parque Ciudad de General Roca, located in the valley of the Río Negro river, opened in 1983 with a simple 2.012 kilometre layout.

It was expanded in 1992 with the addition of 600 metres of extra track around what became the final corners of the lap – the pitlane was also moved from the north-eastern corner of the original circuit to its present-day location.

A further extension was added in 2006, which introduced two new straights to Circuit No. 3 and the most significant braking zone on the circuit – creating a vastly different feeling 3.625 km track to the original.

Facilities, as with most Argentine tracks, are rudimentary – the pit area has only one permanent building, with tents utilised for major meetings, whilst spectators can watch from grass banks or a small bench grandstand.

Whilst TC2000 last visited in 2019, the future of the circuit remains uncertain – its owner, the General Roca Flyers Association, has hinted that it is unlikely to see any national-level motorsport in either 2022 or 2023.
